| When computers (people) are networked, their power multiplies geometrically. Not only can people share all that information inside their machines, but they can reach out and instantly tap the power of other machines (people), essentially making the entire network their computer.Scott McNeely

| Ozzik: What's up with that?! |
23-10-07 23:29:07 |
So, a girl I work with comes to me the other day and tells me I HAVE to sign in to facebook. Now, I've already heard about this network, but had no intentions to participate. So I asked her "why do I have to?". Then she says this: because you can sign in as a vampire, bite all of your friends and take command over them. Or some shit like that. I don't remember exactly, because after the word "vampire" I started laughing histerically, just couldn't control myself.
I mean, what the fuck is up with that?! I know she's much younger than me, but she's not some sort of idiot or anything. So what this means is that you can take the most stupid laughable idea, put it out there and there will always be some people (a lot probably) that will find this idea adorable! This just kills me. Because any time I think of something, I always ask myself: is this too stupid? will anyone even care? And here you are, just wave out the flag of stupidity and have all the idiots come dance around it.
Something's very wrong here... |
